Pirates farm report for June 25, 2021: Mitch Keller gives up 3 runs in 3-inning start
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 25-20) defeated Louisville (Reds), 7-6. Making his first start since being sent down June 12, Mitch Keller went three innings, giving up three runs, two earned, on four hits. He walked none and struck out two. He previously made two scoreless relief appearances for Indy. RHP James Marvel came on and pitched five innings of relief, giving up three runs on five hits with five striekouts to improve to 3-1 on the season. LHP Joe Jacques pitched a scoreless ninth for his first save. 1B Will Craig went 3 for 5 with two home runs, his fifth and sixth. He’s hitting .313 in Triple-A. LF Jared Oliva went 2 for 5 with a double and triple. 2B Wilmer Difo also had two hits.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 27-18) beat Harrisburg (Nationals), 4-3, on a two-run, two-out walk-off home run by 1B Mason Martin in the bottom of the ninth. It was Martin’s ninth long ball. Altoona was held to four hits and struck out 10 times. CF Jonah Davis went 1 for 2 with a two-run home run, his fifth. SS Oneil Cruz and LF Canaan Smith-Njigba went 1 for 4. LHP Omar Cruz, making his first Double-A start, gave up one unearned run on five hits with no walks and two strikeouts. RHP Cristofer Melendez pitched a scoreless ninth to earn the win.

GREENSBORO (High A, 26-20) edged Greenville (Red Sox), 2-1. RHP Braxton Ashcraft started and pitched three scoreless innings, giving up one hit and fanning two. RHP Steven Jennings earned the win, going four innings and allowing one run on three hits. RHP Oliver Garcia pitched a scoreless ninth for his fourth save. 1B Aaron Shackelford went 2 for 3. DH Matthew Fraizer went 1 for 4 with an RBI. 2b Francisco Acune went 1 for 3 with a double and a run scored. LF Lolo Sanchez and 3B Jared Triolo each went 1 for 2 with a walk.

BRADENTON (Low A, 30-16) split a doubleheader with Jupiter (Marlins). In the second game, a 7-4 Marauders win, C Eli Wilson hit a walk-off three-run home run in the bottom of the 10th. A 16th-round pick in 2019, he’s hitting .369 with three homers and a 1.087 OPS. CF Hudson Head went 1 for 5 with his sixth home run. DH Endy Rodriguez and 1B Ernny Ordonez went 2 for 4. RHP Eddy Yean pitched six innings of relief to earn the win, improving to 3-1. He gave up two unearned runs on one hit and struck out nine. In the first game, a 5-3 Bradenton loss, RHP Logan Hofmann started and took the loss, giving up three runs, two earned, on three hits in three innings. He walked one and whiffed four. C Endy Rodriguez went 1 for 4 with a triple and two RBIs. 3B Dariel Lopez went 1 for 4 with a double.
