Pirates farm report for June 25, 2024: Braxton Ashcraft fires 5 scoreless innings for Indy

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 33-41) lost 3-1 to Rochester (Nationals). RHP Braxton Ashcraft (0.59) started and pitched five scoreless innings, allowing five hits and one walk with two strikeouts. LHP Ryan Borucki (9.00) pitched one inning on a rehab assignment (triceps), allowing a solo home run. LHP Geronimo Franzua (2-5, 6.14) took the loss, recording one out and giving up two runs on two hits. RHP Ryder Ryan (3.26) pitched 1⅔ scoreless innings. 2B Ji Hwan Bae (.360) went 3 for 4 with his eighth stolen base. 3B Andres Alvarez (.277) went 1 for 3 with a double and a run scored. SS Alika Williams (.320) went 1 for 4. C Joey Bart (.200) went 0 for 3 with an RBI.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 29-41) saw a five-game winning streak end with a 4-3 loss to Akron (Guardians). RHP Drake Fellows (2-1, 3.18) started and allowed four runs on seven hits and three walks in 5⅔ innings to take the loss. LHP Luis Peralta (0.00) pitched 2⅓ scoreless innings, striking out four, in his first Double-A appearance. RHP Justin Meis (6.88) pitched a scoreless ninth. CF Jase Bowen (.245) went 3 for 4. LF Yoyner Fajardo (.328) went 2 for 5 with a double, run scored and RBI. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.220) went 1 for 5 with a double and an RBI.

LF Esmerlyn Valdez (.238) went 3 for 5 with two doubles and three RBIs. DH Enmanuel Terrero (.143) went 1 for 4 with his second homer. RHP Antwone Kelly (3.75) started and gave up three runs, two earned, on six hits and three walks in 5 2/3 innings. He struck out five. RHP Mike Walash (1.20) pitched 1⅓ scoreless innings. LHP Hunter Furtado (2-1, 6.30) allowed no hits in 1⅔ innings, but walked five and gave up four runs. Somehow, he earned the win. LHP Inmer Lobo (2.84) got the final out for his first save.
