Pirates farm report for June 23, 2024: Alika Williams knocks in pair of runs in Indy win

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 33-40) defeated Iowa (Cubs), 6-4. 2B Alika Williams (.333) was 3 for 5 with a double, triple and two RBIs. CF Matt Gorski (.265) was 3 for 4 with two doubles and a run scored. 3B Andres Alvarez (.275) was 3 for 4 with a homer and two RBIs. C Dylan Shockley (.200) was 2 for 3 with an RBI and two runs scored. 1B Malcom Nunez (.253) was 1 for 3 with an RBI. RF Ji Hwan Bae (.345) was 0 for 5, SS Liover Peguero (.259) was 0 for 4 and DH Joey Bart (.286) was 0 for 3. RHP Domingo German (2-4, 5.55) allowed one run on one hit with four walks and seven strikeouts in five innings to earn the win.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 29-40) won its fifth straight game over Bowie (Orioles), 7-2. CF Jase Bowen (.236) had three hits, including a double. 3B Charles McAdoo (.333) hit a homer for the second straight game since his call-up. 2B Jackson Glenn (.175) had two hits and two RBIs. C Carter Bins (.200) was 2 for 4 with a homer and walk. SS Kervin Pichardo (.263) singled and stretched his hitting streak to 10 games. RHP Po-Yu Chen (2-6, 4.43) allowed one run on two hits and struck out four batters in five innings to earn the win.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 41-27) dropped a 12-9 decision to Hudson Valley (Yankees). RF Luke Brown (.176) hit a three-run homer. DH Jack Brannigan (.223) smacked a two-run home run. SS Maikol Escotto (.200) and C Shawn Ross (.201) each hit solo homers. CF P.J. Hilson (.267) was 1 for 4 with an RBI. RHP Patrick Reilly (4.03) started and allowed three runs on four hits with five strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings. RHP Brandon Bidois (0-5, 5.11) allowed three runs on three hits with two walks and two strikeouts in two innings of relief and took the loss.

RHP Garrett McMillan (3-2, 2.73) earned the win after allowing one run on one hit with a walk and strikeout in 1 2/3 innings of relief.
