Pirates farm report for June 23, 2023: Anthony Solometo shines in home debut for Curve

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 32-40) blew out Columbus (Guardians), 18-5. DH Miguel Andujar (.356) was 4 for 6 with four RBIs. CF Ryan Vilade (.280) was 2 for 5, including a three-run home run. SS Alika Williams (.222) also hit a three-run homer. LF Chris Owings (.268) hit a solo homer and scored three runs. C Endy Rodriguez (.248) was 3 for 5 with three RBIs. 3B Jared Triolo (.302) was 4 for 5 with two RBIs, including a pair of triples. 1B Aaron Shackelford (.245) smacked two doubles and had two RBIs. RHP Kyle Nicolas (12.86) started and allowed five runs on five hits with two walks and six strikeouts in three innings. RHP John O’Reilly (1-3, 5.76) earned the win in relief after allowing one hit with two strikeouts in two innings.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 33-33) blew a five-run lead in a 7-6 loss to Bowie (Orioles) in 10 innings. LHP Anthony Solometo (1.80) tossed five scoreless innings, allowing two hits with one walk and six strikeouts but earned a no decision. RHP Tahnaj Thomas (2-2, 5.89) took the loss after allowing one run on one hit with four walks and a strikeout in two innings of relief. CF Matt Fraizer (.243) was 2 for 4 with three stolen bases and an RBI. DH Jacob Gonzalez (.258) had two hits and three RBIs, including his fifth home run of the season. LF Lolo Sanchez (.212) had an RBI single. 2B Tsung-Che Cheng (.000) hit a sacrifice fly in his Double-A debut.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 36-29) fell 6-5 to Winston-Salem (White Sox). SS Maikol Escotto (.217) was 4 for 4 with a solo home run. CF Jase Bowen (.254) hit his 15th homer of the season and now has 54 RBIs. 3B Brenden Dixon (.207) hit a three-run homer. RHP Eddy Yean (1-3, 7.03) allowed four runs (one earned) on five hits with a walk and two strikeouts in two innings and took the loss.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 36-30) smashed Lakeland (Tigers), 12-4. 1B Alexander Mojica (.233) was 3 for 4 with three RBIs, including a pair of home runs. CF Enmanuel Terrero (.306) was 3 for 5 with two RBIs. 3B Jack Brannigan (.212) was 2 for 4 with three RBIs, including a two-run homer. RF Rodolfo Nolasco (.239) had two hits, two walks and two runs scored. C Geovanny Planchart (.239) was 2 for 4 with an RBI. 2B Termarr Johnson (.255) was 1 for 5. RHP Wilber Dotel (1-1, 4.70) threw five innings, allowing one run on three hits with four strikeouts to earn the win.
