Pirates farm report for June 23, 2022: Yoshi Tsutsugo goes 3 for 3 on rehab stint with Indy

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 34-33) gave up a run in the eighth to lose to Memphis (Cardinals), 4-3. 1B Yoshi Tsutsugo (back), on a rehab assignment, went 3 for 3 with a walk. SS Kevin Newman (groin) went 1 for 4. RF Ben Gamel (hamstring) went 0 for 3 with two strikeouts. CF Ji-hwan Bae (.302) went 2 for 4 with a double. LF Travis Swaggerty (.275) was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. RHP Cristofer Melendez (2-4, 4.05) took the loss, giving up a run on one hit in two innings of relief. RHP Miguel Yajure (4.26) started and allowed two runs on four hits and a walk in 1.1 innings.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 31-35) lost 4-1 to New Hampshire (Blue Jays). CF Matthew Fraizer (.218) went 1 for 4, leading off the game with his fourth homer to account for Altoona’s only run. 3B Andres Alvarez (.248) went 1 for 1 with three walks. The Curve managed two other hits. RHP Carmen Mlodzinski (0-4, 4.50) started and gave up two runs on three hits and four walks with five strikeouts in five innings. RHP Brad Case (2.39) gave up one unearned run on one hit with four strikeouts in three innings of relief.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 27-38) was beaten by Asheville (Astros), 3-1. RHP Nick Garcia (3.12) started and gave up one run on six hits with two strikeouts in six innings. RHP Ricky DeVito (2-2, 4.60) gave up a run on one hit in two-thirds of an inning to take the loss. 1B Ernny Ordonez (.200) went 1 for 3 with a home run, his eighth. 2B Yoyner Fajardo (.281) went 1 for 4 with a double.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 29-36) fell to Dunedin (Blue Jays), 9-7. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.258) went 2 for 4 with two doubles. DH Rodolfo Nolasco (.206) went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs. C Grant Koch (.268) went 2 for 3 with an RBI. LF Jasiah Dixon (.455) went 1 for 4 with a pair of RBIs and a stolen base. RHP Po-Yu Chen (1-6, 5.30) started and allowed five runs, four earned, on eight hits in 4.2 innings. RHP Johan Montero (4.24) gave up four runs on four hits in 2.1 innings of relief.
