Pirates farm report for June 2, 2024: Matt Gorski hits 11th homer in Indianapolis loss

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 24-31) dropped an 8-5 decision to Omaha (Royals). RF Matt Gorski (.275) smacked his 11th home run, a two-run shot. SS Liover Peguero (.272) was 2 for 4 with three RBIs. DH Henry Davis (.296) was 2 for 4 with two runs scored. CF Jack Suwinski (.250) was 1 for 4. 3B Malcom Nunez (.264) was 2 for 4. LF Canaan Smith-Njigba (.243) doubled. RHP Drake Fellows (0-1, 12.00) allowed five runs (four earned) on four hits with three walks and three strikeouts in three innings and took the loss.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 16-35) lost to Portland (Red Sox), 10-4. 1B Joe Perez (.220) was 1 for 3 with two RBIs. LF Tres Gonzalez (.220) was 1 for 4 with an RBI. 2B Tsung-Che Cheng (.219) went 1 for 3 with a walk and two runs scored. DH Seth Beer (.296) was 1 for 3 with an RBI. RHP Sean Sullivan (1-5, 3.12) allowed five runs (two earned) on four hits with three walks and a strikeout in 3 1/3 innings and took the loss.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 29-21) had its game against Asheville (Rockies) canceled because of rain.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 21-30) lost 2-1 to Fort Myers (Twins). DH Esmerlyn Valdez (.223) doubled in a run in the top of the ninth. SS Kalae Harrison (.206) walked and had the only other two hits for Bradenton. RHP Scott Randall (0-1, 6.00) took the loss after giving up two runs on four hits with a walk and two strikeouts in three innings.
