Pirates farm report for June 19, 2024: Sammy Siani, Joe Perez guide Indianapolis to victory
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 31-38) blanked Iowa (Cubs), 2-0. 3B/1B Malcolm Nunez (.247) knocked in a run on a groundout and later scored on a wild pitch. SS Liover Peguero (.276) was 2 for 4 with a double and run scored. 1B Seth Beer (.667) was 2 for 3 with a walk. RHP Braxton Ashcraft (0.87) allowed three hits with three walks and four strikeouts in 4 1/3 scoreless innings. RHP Ben Heller (2-1, 4.66) picked up the win with a clean inning of relief with two strikeouts. RHP Brent Honeywell (4.54) earned his sixth save.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 25-40) beat Bowie (Orioles), 6-4. RF Sammy Siani (.248) was 3 for 5 with a homer and two RBIs. 1B Joe Perez (.228) was 2 for 5 with three RBIs. LF Yoyner Fajardo (.282) also knocked in a run. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.221) and DH Dustin Peterson (.226) each went 2 for 5. RHP Emmanuel Chapman (1-0, 7.20) allowed three hits and no runs with two strikeouts in three innings of relied and earned the win.

CF Lonnie White Jr. (.177) was 2 for 4 with a double, RBI and two runs scored. C Geovanny Planchart (.238) was 2 for 4 with an RBI. LF Hudson Head (.232) was 1 for 3. RHP Wilber Dotel (4-3, 5.16) tossed six scoreless innings, allowing three hits and a walk with seven strikeouts over six innings to earn the win.
