Pirates farm report for June 19, 2021: Will Craig homers in Indianapolis win
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 22-18) pounded out 14 hits and beat Memphis (Cardinals), 11-5. 3B Hunter Owen hit a sixth-inning grand slam, his fourth homer of the season. 1B Will Craig went 2 for 4 with a double, his fourth Triple-A home run of the season and three RBIs. He’s hitting .311 for Indianapolis. C Christian Bethancourt went 2 for 5 and hit his third home run. CF Chris Sharpe and 2B T.J. Rivera had two hits apiece. RHP James Marvel started and gave up four runs on six hits in five innings. LHP Joe Jacques pitched a scoreless sixth to improve to 2-0.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 25-15) outslugged Erie (Tigers), 8-7. 2B Rodolfo Castro went 4 for 5 to improve his average to .318 and his OPS to .902. SS Oneil Cruz went 3 for 5 with a pair of doubles. He’s hitting .308 with a .936 OPS. 1B Mason Martin went 3 for 4 with his ninth double and eighth home run, a two-run shot in the fourth. He’s hitting .259 with a .864 OPS. RF Cal Mitchell went 3 for 5 to up his average to .283. 3B Jesus Valdez hit his first home run. RHP Osvaldo Bido started and gave up five runs on seven hits in 4.1 innings. LHP Cam Vieaux pitched 2.2 innings of hitless relief to improve to 2-1. RHP Hunter Stratton gave up two runs in the ninth but recorded his fifth save.

GREENSBORO (High A, 22-19) lost 4-2 to Winston-Salem (White Sox), managing only four hits. SS Liover Peguero went 2 for 4 with a double and a triple. RF Fabricio Macias went 1 for 4 with his fourth home run. 3B Jared Triolo went 1 for 3. RHP Carmen Mlodzinski started and gave up four runs, three earned, on six hits in four innings. He struck out six. RHP Alexander Manasa pitched four perfect innings of relief, striking out one.

BRADENTON (Low A, 26-14) blew a 5-2 lead and lost 7-6 to Tampa (Yankees). C Endy Rodriguez went 3 for 5 with two doubles and two RBIs. DH Blake Sabol went 1 for 3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored. LF Jake Snider had two hits. He’s 6 for 13 this season. RHP Adrian Florencio started and went six innings, allowing two runs on three hits with eight strikeouts. RHP Oliver Mateo gave up a three-run home run in the seventh.
