Pirates farm report for June 12, 2024: Catcher Shawn Ross belts 3 homers for Greensboro

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 26-37) lost 3-1 to Jacksonville (Marlins). RHP Domingo German (0-4, 6.93) started and allowed three runs, one earned, on five hits, including a home run. He walked two and struck out four. LHP Nick Dombkowski (3.86) followed with 2.2 scoreless innings, not allowing a hit. RHP Connor Sadzeck (3.69) pitched a scoreless eighth, also not allowing a hit. Indianapolis was held to three hits. LF Matt Gorski (.261) went 1 for 4 with his 12th home run. 2B Andres Alvarez (.246) went 2 for 3 with a walk.

Next: Thursday at Jacksonville (Marlins), 7:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 20-39) lost 5-2 to Erie (Tigers). RHP Po-Yu Chen (1-5, 4.81) started and gave up four runs on five hits, including a home run, in 4.2 innings. He walked two and struck out four. RHP JC Flowers (2.31) pitched 2.1 scoreless innings of relief, not allowing a hit and striking out two. DH Joe Perez (.221) went 1 for 4 with an RBI. CF Jase Bowen (.232) went 1 for 3 with his ninth stolen base and a run scored.

Next: Thursday vs. Erie (Tigers), 6 p.m.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 33-25) took care of Winston-Salem (White Sox), 7-1. C Shawn Ross went 3 for 4 with three home runs, running his season total to 11. DH Charles McAdoo (.340) went 2 for 4 with a triple, two RBIs and his 12th stolen base. SS Termarr Johnson (.215) went 1 for 4 with two runs scored and his ninth stolen base. RHP Patrick Reilly (4.26) started and gave up one run on three hits in 4.1 innings. He walked four and struck out three. LHP Luis Peralta (3-0, 0.67) pitched 2.2 scoreless innings, allowing one hit, to earn the win. LHP Yoldin De La Paz (12.86) finished it off with two scoreless innings.

Next: Thursday at Winston-Salem (White Sox), 7 p.m.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 25-34) was swept by Dunedin (Blue Jays) in a doubleheader. In the first game, an 8-4 Marauders loss, RHP Hung-Leng Chang (2-4, 4.36) started and gave up five runs on five hits, including a home run, in four innings. He walked two and struck out six. C Omar Alfonzo (.247) went 1 for 4 with a two-run homer, his third. SS Keiner Delgado went 1 for 4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI. 2B Jeral Toledo (.211) went 1 for 3 with a triple, a run scored and an RBI.

In the second game, a 2-1 Marauders loss, RHP Antwone Kelly (1-5, 4.25) pitched all six innings, allowing two runs, one earned, on three hits with one walk and eight strikeouts. SS Javier Rivas (.209) went 1 for 3 with a solo home run, his fifth. Delgado (.228) was 1 for 2 with a double and a walk.
