Pirates farm report for June 10, 2022: Aaron Shackelford hits 8th homer but Curve fall short
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 29-27) edged Columbus (Guardians), 5-4. C Carter Bins (.196) smacked two doubles and had two RBIs. LF Oneil Cruz (.227) was 1 for 3 with an RBI. RF Canaan Smith-Njigba (.269) had an RBI triple. 3B Hoy Park (.214) also went 1 for 3 with an RBI double. DH Bligh Madris (.289) was 3 for 4 with two runs scored. RHP Cody Bolton (3.22) allowed three runs on two hits with two walks and three strikeouts in four innings. RHP John O’Reilly (2-0, 5.51) picked up the win after allowing two hits in two innings of scoreless relief.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 26-29) dropped a 7-5 decision to Reading (Phillies). 2B Aaron Shackelford (.246) smacked his eighth home run of the year, a two-run shot. 1B Brendt Citta (.261) hit a solo homer and went 2 for 4. RF Matt Gorski (.283) was 2 for 5 with a home run. LF Blake Sabol (.288) also had an RBI. RHP Luis Ortiz (2-3, 5.06) started and took the loss after allowing five runs on seven hits with one walk and five strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 23-31) fell 4-2 to Winston-Salem (White Sox). 2B Jackson Glenn (.204) homered. SS Francisco Acuna (.255) was 2 for 3. C Abrahan Gutierrez (.255) and 1B Ernny Ordonez (.198) also had singles. LHP Nick Garcia (3.83) started and allowed two runs on four hits with two walks and three strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings. LHP Logan Hofmann (0-1, 4.00) took the loss after allowing two runs on three hits with three strikeouts in two innings of relief.

LHP Po-Yu Chen (4.60) allowed six hits with three walks and five strikeouts in 4 2/3 scoreless innings. RHP Jeffrey Passantino (1-0, 3.00) gave up one run on three hits with four strikeouts in three innings of relief to earn the victory.
