INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 28-29) was thumped by Columbus (Indians), 9-4. SS Dee Strange-Gordon, in his second game with Indy, went 1 for 5 with a two-run home run. RF Fabricio Macias went 3 for 4 with two runs scored and his first stolen base. 1B Hunter Owen went 2 for 4. RHP Luis Oviedo was touched up for four runs on five hits in 1.2 innings.

Next: Saturday at Columbus (Indians), 7:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 31-25) split a doubleheader with Akron (Indians). The Curve won the opener, 6-2. LF Canaan Smith-Njigba went 2 for 3 with a three-run homer, his fifth. C Arden Pabst went 2 for 3 and belted his third home run. SS Connor Kaiser went 1 for 3 with a double, a walk and two runs scored. LHP Trey McGough started and went five innings, allowing two runs, on earned, on five hits. RHP Shea Murray pitched a scoreless sixth to earn the win and improve to 2-0. The Curve lost the second game, 4-1, managing just two hits. 1B Mason Martin had both of them, going 2 for 3 with a home run, his 16th. RHP Osvaldo Bido took the loss to fall to 2-2. He went 4.2 innings, allowing two runs on two hits, whiffing eight.

Next: Saturday vs. Akron (Indians), 6 p.m.

GREENSBORO (High A, 34-24) beat Asheville (Astros), 4-2. CF Matt Gorski went 2 for 4 with a home run, his ninth, and two RBIs. RF Lolo Sanchez went 1 for 4 and clouted his eighth long ball. 3B Jared Triolo went 2 for 3 with his sixth home run and two runs scored. RHP Grant Ford started and pitched three scoreless innings with four walks and six strikeouts. RHP Bear Bellomy pitched two scoreless innings of one-hit ball to earn the win, improving to 6-2 with a 3.27 ERA. RHP Oliver Garcia pitched two more scoreless innings of one-hit ball to earn his sixth save.

BRADENTON (Low A, 36-20) scored three in the seventh and one in the eighth to beat Clearwater (Phillies), 4-3, despite being held to three hits. RHP Logan Hofmann started and pitched six scoreless innings, giving up four hits, walking none and fanning five. RHP Eddy Yean gave up three runs on four hits in 2.1 innings of relief, but earned the win to go to 4-1. RHP Enmauel Mejia got the last two outs for his sixth save. The Marauders walked eight times. RF Hudson Head went 1 for 3 and hit his eighth home run, a two-run shot, in the seventh. C Endy Rodriguez went 1 for 3 with an RBI. CF Sammy Siani went 1 for 3 with a walk, a run scored and two stolen bases, his seventh and eighth.
