LHP Cam Vieaux (2.20) worked a scoreless fifth. SS Rodolfo Castro (.228) went 3 for 4 with a double. LF Cal Mitchell (.320) went 1 for 4 with an RBI. 1B Mason Martin (.201) had a pinch-hit RBI single.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 39-38) got past Akron (Guardians), 3-2. RHP Kyle Nicolas (4.14) started and went 3.2 innings, giving up one run on three hits and three walks. RHP Enmanuel Mejia (2-4, 5.04) pitched 1.1 scoreless innings to earn the win. RHP Tahnaj Thomas (3.77) pitched 1.2 scoreless innings for his second save. CF Jared Triolo (.275) went 3 for 5 with his 16th stolen base. LF Matthew Fraizer (.220) went 1 for 4 with an RBI and his 10th steal.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 33-44) was thrashed by Greenville (Red Sox), 11-3. RHP Adrian Florencio (1-9, 8.21) started and worked two innings, allowing three runs, none earned, on one hit to take the loss. The Grasshoppers made four errors in the game. SS Mike Jarvis (.214) went 1 for 4 with his second homer. DH Dariel Lopez (.258) went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI. 3B Ernny Ordonez (.228) went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 36-41) scored twice in the top of the ninth to beat Lakeland (Tigers), 8-6. RF Rodolfo Nolasco (.222) went 3 for 5 with an RBI double in the ninth and his seventh home run of the season in the third. DH Wyatt Hendrie (.230) went 2 for 5 and also had a run-scoring double in the ninth. C Grant Koch (.265) went 4 for 4 with a walk and two RBIs. 1B Jase Bowen (.270) was 2 for 5 with a pair of RBIs. 3B Norkis Marcos (.134) went 2 for 5. RHP Cristian Charle (3-0, 2.01) pitched two innings of relief, allowing one run on two hits with three strikeouts, to earn the win. RHP Carlos Campos (0.00) pitched a scoreless ninth for his first save.
