INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 44-42) swept Toledo (Tigers) in a doubleheader. The Indians won Game 1, 4-3. DH Gregory Polanco (.333) was 1 for 3 with a first-inning, two-run home run. It was Polanco’s second game in his rehab assignment since being placed on the 10-day injured list June 22 with posterior left shoulder inflammation. 2B Kevin Kramer (.268) went 1 for 1 with two walks and a two-run double in the fifth inning, which provided the eventual winning runs. RHP Eduardo Vera (5-6, 5.53) picked up the victory in a six-inning outing, allowing three runs on four hits, striking five and walking one. 3B Ke’Bryan Hayes (.248) was 2 for 3 with a double and two runs. RHP Montana DuRapau (1-1, 2.00) recorded his seventh save. Indianapolis shut out the Mud Hens, 3-0, in Game 2. RHP James Marvel (1-0, 0.00) pitched a seven-inning complete-game shutout with six strikeouts and three hits allowed. Hayes hit a third-inning solo home run. LF Darnell Sweeney (.275) amd RF J.B. Shuck (.295) singled in a run each in the second inning.

Next: Saturday vs. Toledo, 7:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 46-38) won 3-0 over Erie (Tigers). LHP Brandon Waddell (1-1, 1.89) earned the victory after throwing six scoreless innings with seven strikeouts, a walk and two hits. 1B Jerrick Suiter (.240) doubled and drove in a run. CF Jared Olivia (.265) went 2 for 3 with an RBI. RHP Beau Sulser (7-0, 1.40) recorded his second save.

Next: Saturday vs. Erie, 6 p.m.

BRADENTON (High-A, 47-37) defeated Florida (Braves), 5-3. RHP Brad Case (2-1, 2.70 with Bradenton) got the win after throwing six scoreless innings with five stirkeouts, three walks and a hit allowed. SS Oneil Cruz (.286) hit a third-inning, two-run home run. CF Travis Swaggerty (.246) was 4 for 4 with a run. RHP Samuel Reyes (1-3, 3.20 with Bradenton) earned his second save after pitching 2 1/3 scoreless innings with two strikeouts and two walks.

Next: Saturday vs. Florida, 6:30 p.m.

GREENSBORO (Low-A, 51-33) was suspended because of rain in a game against Lakewood (Phillies). The game is scheduled to be completed Saturday. The contest was halted in the top of the third inning with the Grasshoppers ahead 5-2.

Next: Saturday vs. Lakewood, 7 p.m.

WEST VIRGINIA (Short season-A, 11-9) was late because of a rain delay.
