Pirates farm report for July 30, 2024: Liover Peguero has 2 hits, 2 RBIs in Indianapolis win
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 46-52) beat Toledo (Tigers), 7-5. Indianapolis had eight singles and no extra-base hits, but Toledo walked eight and made four errors. SS Liover Peguero (.251) went 2 for 5 with two runs scored and two RBIs. RF Edward Olivares (.229) went 2 for 5 with two runs scored and an RBI. C Henry Davis (.317) went 1 for 3 with two walks and a run scored. RHP Aaron Shoertridge (1.50) started and allowed one run on three hits and four walks in four innings. LHP Geronimo Franzua (3-5, 5.36) gave up one run on one hit in 2⅓ innings to pick up the win. RHP Ben Heller (3.86) got the final out for his third save.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 41-56) took care of Richmond (Giants), 5-1. RHP Drake Fellows (3.95) started and allowed one hit in three scoreless innings. RHP Grant Ford (2-1, 4.28) followed with two scoreless innings, allowing one hit, to earn the win. RHP Jack Carey (3.93) pitched two scoreless innings, also giving up one hit, to record the save. CF Jase Bowen (.231) went 1 for 4 with his fourth homer, a two-run shot. LF Tres Gonzalez (.232) went 2 for 3 with an RBI. RF Sammy Siani (.230) went 1 for 3 with a walk and two runs scored.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 57-39) blew a 7-2 lead and lost 11-10 to Winston-Salem (White Sox). 3B Maikol Escotto (.212) went 3 for 5 with his eighth homer, a double and three RBIs. LF Luke Brown (.195) went 1 for 4 with a three-run homer, his eighth, three runs scored and his 10th stolen base. CF PJ Hilson (.265) went 4 for 5 with three runs scored and his 10th stolen base. 2B Termarr Johnson (.246) went 2 for 4 with an RBI. RHP Wilber Dotel (5.56) started and allowed five runs on five his and three walks in three innings. RHP Darvin Garcia (5.35) recorded one out and allowed four runs on two hits and two walks.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 41-56) beat Palm Beach (Cardinals), 3-1, in 10 innings. 1B Esmerlyn Valdez (.233) went 1 for 4 with a ninth-inning solo homer, his 15th, that forced extra innings. 3B Javier Rivas (.219) went 2 for 4 with a go-ahead two-run homer, his ninth, in the top of the 10th. LHP Magdiel Cotto (5-3, 2.89) pitched a perfect ninth and 10th to earn the win. RHP Carlos Jimenez (3.90) started and gave up one unearned run on three hits and three walks in four innings. He fanned four. RHP Danny Carrion (5.40) pitched a scoreless fifth and RHP Luigi Hernandez (6.86) threw three scoreless frames, allowing one hit and one walk with three strikeouts.
