Pirates farm report for July 30, 2022: Jack Suwinski homers in Indy loss

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 45-50) lost to Toledo (Tigers), 6-5, in 10 innings. LF Jack Suwinski (.237) went 3 for 5, doubled and hit a solo home run, his fourth in Triple-A, with two outs in the top of the ninth to tie the game 5-5. SS Tucupita Marcano (.340) went 3 for 5 and scored a run. C Taylor Davis (.274) went 2 for 5 with two doubles and an RBI. CF Tarvis Swaggerty (.264) went 1 for 3 with two walks and his seventh stolen base. RF Hoy Park (.213) went 0 for 4 with four strikeouts. RHP Mike Burrows (5.33) started and worked four innings, allowing no runs and two hits with two strikeouts. RHP Eric Hanhold (2-2, 4.11) took the loss, allowing one unearned run on three hits in 1.2 innings.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 47-48) was edged out by Bowie (Orioles), 2-1. RHP Quinn Priester (1-2, 1.87) started and went 6.1 innings, allowing two runs on seven hits, including a homer. He walked two and struck out four. RHP Colin Selby (2.45) pitched 1.2 perfect innings of relief, striking out four. DH Blake Sabol (.265) went 3 for 4 with two doubles and a run scored. SS Jared Triolo (.272) went 1 for 3 with a double and his 19th stolen base.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 42-51) beat Winston-Salem (White Sox), 7-3. 1B Abrahan Gutierrez (.259( went 1 for 3 with a three-run homer, his ninth. 3B Dariel Lopez (.278) went 1 for 3 with a triple, two RBIs and a walk. RF Angel Basabe (.250) went 1 for 4 with a double and an RBI. C Endy Rodriguez (.297) went 2 for 4 and scored twice. RHP Justin Meis (6.19) of Bethel Park started and went four innings, allowing one run on three hits and five walks. RHP Cristian Charle (1-0, 2.79) pitched three scoreless innings of relief to earn the win.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 47-47) got past Lakeland (Tigers), 3-2. DH Bubba Chandler (.269) went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI. LF Jauri Custodio (.429) went 3 for 4. RHP Carlos Campos (1.59) started and went four innings, giving up two runs on seven hits. LHP Mitchell Miller (2-1, 3.57) earned the win with two scoreless innings of relief. RHP Johan Montero (3.55) worked three scoreless innings, not allowing a hit and fanning three, to pick up his third save.
