Pirates farm report for July 3, 2023: Termarr Johnson's 3 RBIs help Bradenton top Clearwater

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 37-43) got the best of Louisville (Reds), 5-3. LF Cal Mitchell (.272) was 2 for 5 with a three-run homer. RF Miguel Andujar (.351) was 3 for 4 with an RBI. 1B Ji Man Choi (.400) and 2B Chris Owings (.274) each went 2 for 4. C Endy Rodriguez (.254) was 0 for 4 with a walk and run scored. DH Aaron Shackelford (.239) doubled. LHP Kent Emanuel (6-3, 6.08) gave up two runs (one earned) on seven hits with two strikeouts in five innings to earn the win. RHP Hunter Stratton (5.40) earned his second save after giving up one run on one hit in one inning of work.

Next: Tuesday vs. Memphis (Cardinals), 6:35 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 36-38) fell to Harrisburg (Nationals), 9-2. 3B Claudio Finol (.230) had a sacrifice fly. 1B Matt Gorski (.247) also had an RBI, his 38th of the season. LF Lolo Sanchez (.209) was 1 for 4. RF Matt Fraizer (.245) was 2 for 3 with a run scored. The Curve managed five hits and left seven runners on base, going 0 for 4 with runners in scoring position. RHP Brad Case (1-2, 5.06) took the loss, allowing four runs on three hits in 1 2/3 innings of relief. RHP Justin Meis (6.60), Bethel Park grad, allowed one run on three hits with three walks and four strikeouts.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 37-36) was idle.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 40-34) took down Clearwater (Phillies), 5-2. 3B/SS Jack Brannigan (.239) was 3 for 4 with a walk and two runs scored. 2B Termarr Johnson (.236) was 1 for 4 with a triple and three RBIs. SS/1B Jesus Castillo (.211) also knocked in a run. 1B Nick Cimillo (.265) was 2 for 4. RF Rodolfo Nolasco (.221) doubled. RHP Alessandro Ercolani (4-4, 3.88) allowed two runs on three hits with a walk and six strikeouts in six innings to earn the win.
