INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 27-25) was outslugged by Iowa (Cubs), 9-7. RHP Max Kranick, coming off five perfect innings in his MLB debut last Sunday, started and went three innings, getting tagged for five runs on six hits, including a grand slam. 3B Hunter Owen went 2 for 3 with his seventh home run and three RBIs. 1B Will Craig, passed over for promotion this week, went 2 for 3 with a double to up his average to .292 with a .967 OPS. LF Bligh Madris went 2 for 4 with three RBIs.

Next: Sunday vs. Iowa (Cubs), 6:15 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 29-22) was swept in a doubleheader by Hartford (Rockies) despite the best efforts of 1B Mason Martin, who hit three home runs on the day. In the opener, a 2-1 Curve loss, Martin went 1 for 3 and hit his 10th homer. It was Altoona’s only hit in the game. LHP Omar Cruz started and gave up two runs on four hits including a home run in 4.2 innings. He struck out four. Altoona dropped the second game, 7-2. Martin went 2 for 3, hitting his 11th and 12th homers, and drove in three runs. CF Daniel Amaral went 2 for 4 with his third home run from the leadoff spot. DH Brendy Citta went 2 for 3 and scored a run. RHP Osvaldo Brito started and went 1.1 innings, allowing four runs on three hits, including two homers.

GREENSBORO (High A, 30-22) edged Bowling Green (Rays), 6-5. DH Matthew Fraizer went 3 for 5 with a double, triple and an RBI. C Dylan Shockley went 1 for 3 with his second home run. 3B Jared Triolo and 1B Will Matthiessen had two hits. CF Matt Gorski went 1 for 4 with a double and an RBI. RHP Carmen Mlodzinski started and went six innings, giving up five runs on five hits, including a pair of home runs. RHP Austin Roberts gave up five hits in 1.2 innings but didn’t allow a run and earned the win to improve to 2-2. RHP Oliver Garcia pitched a scoreless ninth for his fifth save.

Next: Sunday at Bowling Green (Rays), 6:35 p.m.

BRADENTON (Low A, 35-18) beat Fort Myers (Twins) 1-0 with three pitchers combining on a five-hit shutout. RHP Adrian Florencio started and improved to 3-1 with a 2.14 ERA. He gave up four hits in six innings, fanning five. RHP Cameron Junker threw two perfect innings with four strikeouts. RHP Enmanuel Mejia gave up one hit in the ninth and earned his fifth save. The Marauders were held to six hits. 2B Yoyner Fajardo went 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI to improve his average to .310. LF Sammy Siani went 1 for 3 with a single and a run scored.
