Pirates farm report for July 29, 2023: Luis Ortiz fans 8, Rodolfo Castro knocks in 4 runs in Indians victory
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 47-53) scored a 6-3 victory over Louisville (Reds). DH Rodolfo Castro (.149) was 3 for 4 with a three-run homer and four RBIs. LF Miguel Andujar (.353) was 3 for 4 with a solo homer. He now has 68 RBIs this season. 2B/3B Domingo Leyba (.333) smacked a solo home run. SS Chris Owings (.240) was 1 for two with two runs scored. RHP Luis Ortiz (3-4, 4.40) allowed one run on five hits with three walks and eight strikeouts in five innings to earn the win. LHP Rob Zastryzny (3.86) allowed one hit in 1 1/3 innings of relief.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 44-47) dropped a 13-3 decision to Harrisburg (Nationals). LF Lolo Sanchez (.221) was 3 for 4 with a double and two-run homer. CF Matt Fraizer (.253) was 1 for 4 with an RBI. 2B Tsung-Che Cheng (.245) was 2 for 4 with a double. RHP Braxton Ashcraft (0-1, 1.93) gave up five runs (three earned) on six hits with a walk and five strikeouts in three innings and took the loss.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 48-44) pounded Winston-Salem (White Sox), 13-4. 2B Jack Brannigan (.346) was 3 for 5 with three RBIs, including a solo homer. SS Maikol Escotto (.206) was 3 for 5 with a two-run home run and three runs scored. CF Luke Brown (.206) hit a solo home run. 1B Josiah Sightler (.467) was 3 for 5 with three RBIs. DH Will Matthiessen (.245) was 1 for 5 with two RBIs. 3B Francisco Acuna (.286) was 1 for 5 with two RBIs. RHP Bubba Chandler (6-3, 5.54) earned the win after allowing one run on two hits with four strikeouts in five innings.
