Pirates farm report for July 28, 2023: Nick Cimillo's solo homer lifts Bradenton to victory

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 46-53) gave up two runs in the top of the ninth and lost to Louisville (Reds), 5-3. 1B Aaron Shackelford (.228) smacked a two-run homer. CF Ryan Vilade (.272) hit an RBI triple. RF Miguel Andujar (.348) was 1 for 3 with a run scored. RHP Jared Jones (4.72) allowed two runs on four hits with seven strikeouts in six innings and earned a no-decision. RHP Duane Underwood Jr. (0-4, 7.71) took the loss after giving up two runs on two hits with a walk and strikeout in two innings of relief.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 44-46) allowed four runs in the fourth inning and fell 6-3 to Harrisburg (Nationals). RF Matt Fraizer (.253) was 2 for 3 with a triple and RBI, his 32nd of the season. CF Chavez Young (.234) was 2 for 4 with an RBI. LF Lolo Sanchez (.211) was 1 for 4 in the leadoff spot. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.235) doubled and scored. RHP Sean Sullivan (2-4, 4.57) allowed four runs on four hits with three walks and three strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings and took the loss.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 47-44) dropped a 7-4 decision to Winston-Salem (White Sox). 3B Brenden Dixon (.197) hit a two-run homer. SS Shawn Ross (.205) hit a solo home run. RF Jase Bowen (.270) was 2 for 4. C Wyatt Hendrie (.241) also was 2 for 4 with a run scored. 1B Will Matthiessen (.246) was 1 for 5 with an RBI double. RHP Po-Yu Chen (4.12) allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits with three walks and five strikeouts in four innings. RHP Ryan Harbin (0-2, 10.50) took the loss after giving up three runs on four hits with a walk and strikeout in an inning of relief.

RF Juan Jerez (.091) knocked in two runs. 2B Termarr Johnson (.250) was 1 for 4 with an RBI and two runs scored. SS Mitch Jebb (.500) was 3 for 5. 3B/1B Jesus Castillo (.225) was 2 for 4 with a double. RHP Owen Kellington (4.34) allowed four runs (two earned) on three hits with a walk and four strikeouts in three innings. RHP Jorge Ramos (1-0, 2.08) earned the win after allowing no hits with a walk in 1 2/3 innings of relief.
