Pirates farm report for July 26, 2022: Jack Suwinski belts grand slam in Indy win
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 44-47) got past Toledo (Tigers), 5-4. CF Jack Suwinski (.190) went 1 for 4 with a first-inning grand slam, his third Triple-A homer of the year. RHP Roansy Contreras (2.82) started and went two innings, allowing one hit, a solo home run, and striking out two. LHP Cam Vieaux (4-0, 2.14) pitched a scoreless sixth to earn the win. RHP Eric Hanhold (4.41) got the final two outs for his third save. 1B Mason Martin (.196) went 2 for 4 with a homer, his 15th.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 46-45) was walloped by Bowie (Orioles), 11-5. RHP Carmen Mlodzinski (3-6, 4.80) started and gave up three runs on three hits, including a homer, in one inning. RHP Bear Bellomy (5.98) came on and was tagged for six runs on six hits, including two homers, in 2.2 innings. 1B Aaron Shackelford (.255) went 1 for 5 with his 17th home run. CF Connor Scott (.255) was 3 for 4 with a double and a homer, his third. 3B Jared Triolo (.266) was 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 39-50) beat Winston-Salem (White Sox), 8-6, on a walk-off three-run homer by 1B Ernny Ordonez (.228) in the bottom of the 10th. It was the 12th homer for Ordonez, who went 3 for 4. C Endy Rodriguez (.287) went 1 for 2 with a homer, his 14th, and two walks. RF Yoyner Fajardo (.256) went 2 for 5 with a two-run homer, his sixth. RHP Nick Garcia (3.73) started and went six innings, allowing four runs on six hits, including two homers. He whiffed five. RHP Logan Hofmann (1-1, 5.60) didn’t give up a hit in the 10th to earn the win.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 45-45) used a six-run second inning to beat Lakeland (Tigers), 8-5. RF Jase Bowen (.269) went 2 for 4 with a double, triple and two RBIs. 2B Tsung-Che Cheng (.243) was 2 for 4 with a double and also drove in a pair. LF Jasiah Dixon (.254) was 1 for 3 with a triple, a walk and two runs scored. CF Sergio Campana (.202) went 1 for 3 with a triple and an RBI. LHP Anthony Solometo (2-0, 4.03) gave up three runs on four hits and four walks in three innings but earned the win. RHP Bubba Chandler (7.11) allowed one run on three hits in 3.2 innings, fanning six.
