Pirates farm report for July 20, 2024: Thomas Harrington strikes out 10 in Curve loss

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 40-51) fell to Omaha (Royals), 7-4. C Henry Davis (.297) was 2 for 4 with an RBI. DH Seth Beer (.299) hit a solo homer. LF Matt Fraizer (.273) was 2 for 3 with two runs scored. RF Edward Olivares (.222) went 2 for 4. SS Alika Williams (.275) doubled, walked and had an RBI. CF Ji Hwan Bae (.349) was 1 for 5. RHP Jake Woodford (4.16) started and allowed two runs on four hits with two walks and a strikeout in five innings. LHP Ryan Borucki (1-1, 8.44) took the loss after giving up four runs on two hits with two walks and two strikeouts in 2/3 of an inning.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 39-50) dropped a 2-1 decision to Somerset (Yankees). CF Sammy Siani (.247) smacked a solo homer and was 2 for 3 for the Curve. LF Dustin Peterson (.228) had the only other hit. RHP Thomas Harrington (2.44) allowed one run on three hits with no walks and 10 strikeouts in six innings. He got 12 straight outs at one point. RHP Eddy Yean (5-3, 2.96) took the loss after giving up an unearned run on three hits with two strikeouts in 1 1/3 innings.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 55-33) lost to Hickory (Rangers), 7-3. 2B Termarr Johnson (.247) was 1 for 3 with an RBI. 3B Mitch Jebb (.221) had an RBI triple. DH Billy McKinney (.214) was 2 for 5, with a double. LF Luke Brown (.184) was 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored. RHP Derek Diamond (5-2, 4.45) took the loss after giving up six runs on eight hits with two walks and two strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 38-51) dropped a doubleheader to Tampa (Yankees). In Game 1, Bradenton lost 2-1 in 10 innings. CF Shalin Polanco (.159) hit his 10th home run. RF/1B Esmerlyn Valdez (.239) and LF Juan Jerez (.235) had the only other hits. RHP Carlson Reed (2.60) started and allowed two hits with a walk and four strikeouts in four scoreless innings. LHP Hunter Furtado (2-4, 6.13) took the loss after giving up an unearned run on two walks in 2/3 of an inning.

In Game 2, Bradenton fell 7-0. LF Miguel Sosa (.214) was 2 for 3 with a double. C Axiel Plaz (.230) also doubled. CF Shalin Polanco (.161) was 1 for 3. RF Enmanuel Terrero (.131) had a single.
