Pirates farm report for July 13, 2022: Bubba Chandler gets 2 hits in Class A debut

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 41-42) handled Columbus (Guardians), 5-2. RHP Bryse Wilson (5-0, 2.97) started and went five innings, giving up one run on four hits with five strikeouts. RHP Mike Burrows (6.50) pitched two perfect innings of relief with four strikeouts. LHP Joe Jacques (4.66) gave up one run in two innings to earn the save. 2B Ji-hwan Bae (.304) went 2 for 5 with a double and his eighth home run. DH Cal Mitchell (.327) went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs. LF Greg Allen (hamstring), playing on a rehab assignment, went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 41-41) fell to Richmond (Giants), 6-4. RHP Carmen Mlodzinski (2-5, 4.53) started and gave up five runs, three earned, on two hits and a walk in two-thirds of an inning. RHP JC Flowers (2.96) followed and pitched 4.1 innings of scoreless relief, not allowing a hit. He walked two and fanned three. SS Liover Peguero (.279) went 2 for 2 with two walks and his 19th stolen base. SS Jared Triolo (.272) went 2 for 5. RF Connor Scott (.254) went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs. CF Matthew Fraizer (.222) went 1 for 4 with a pair of RBIs.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 34-46) lost to Brooklyn (Mets), 6-5. SS Francisco Acuna (.281) went 2 for 4 with two doubles and two runs scored. 1B Jacob Gonzalez (.307) went 2 for 5 with a double and two RBIs. 2B Jackson Glenn (.231) went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI. RHP Santiago Florez (1-3, 8.10) started and gave up four runs on two hits and two walks in 1.1 innings.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 40-41) beat Jupiter (Marlins), 4-1. DH Bubba Chandler, a third-round pick in last year’s draft, went 2 for 3 with a double and two runs scored in his Low-A debut. 2B Maikol Escotto (.353) went 1 for 4 with his second home run. LF Jasiah Dixon (.250) went 1 for 3 with a double and two RBIs. RHP Valentin Linarez (4.82) started and went 4.2 innings, allowing one run on six hits with six strikeouts. RHP Darvin Garcia (2-3, 6.14) pitched 1.1 scoreless innings to earn the win. LHP Mitchell Miller threw two scoreless innings and RHP Yunior Thibo (4.22) pitched a scoreless ninth for his sixth save.
