Pirates farm report for July 10, 2024: Henry Davis goes 0 for 4 with 4 strikeouts in Indy loss

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 38-47) was held to five hits in a 3-1 loss to Columbus (Guardians). C Henry Davis (.302) went 0 for 4 with four strikeouts. DH Seth Beer (.250) went 1 for 4 with a double and a run scored. SS Liover Peguero (.269) went 1 for 4 with his eighth stolen base. RHP Jake Woodford (1-5, 4.20) started and gave up one run on a solo homer in five innings to take the loss. He struck out six. LHP Geronimo Franzua (6.00) pitched 1⅓ scoreless innings of relief.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 36-47) took care of Bowie (Orioles), 5-1. RHP Thomas Harrington (2-2, 2.54) started and went seven innings, allowing one run on five hits and two walks. He struck out 11. RHP Emmanuel Chapman (4.57) pitched two scoreless innings, allowing one hit, to close it out. C Abrahan Gutierrez (.268) went 2 for 4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI. 2B Kervin Pichardo (.264) went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI. CF Jase Bowen (.239) went 1 for 3 with a double and two runs scored. LF Sammy Siani (.249) went 2 for 4.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 51-31) gave up three in the top of the 10th and lost 7-5 to Winston-Salem (White Sox). 3B Jack Brannigan (.220) went 2 for 5 with a double and his 14th home run, a two-run shot. LF Hudson Head (.227) went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI. DH Nick Cimillo (.294) went 1 for 4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI. 1B Josiah Sightler (.194) went 2 for 4 with a run scored. LHP Dominic Perachi (2.06) started and allowed three runs on four hits and two walks in five innings. He fanned five. RHP Darvin Garcia (4.50) pitched two scoreless innings. RHP Jaycob Deese (2-2, 5.57) allowed four runs, three earned, on five hits, including two homers in the 10th, in three innings to take the loss.

C Axiel Plaz (.231) went 2 for 5 with his 11th homer. 3B Jeral Toledo (.236) went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBIs. SS Keiner Delgado (.228) went 2 for 4 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI. RHP Aaron Shortridge (2.61) started and threw four scoreless innings, allowing no hits, walking none and striking out seven. RHP Peyton Strumbo (2-3, 4.60) pitched two scoreless innings, allowing one hit, to earn the win.
