Pirates farm report for Aug. 3, 2022: Endy Rodriguez goes 5 for 5 with game-winning homer for Greensboro
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 48-51) split a doubleheader with Louisville (Reds). 1B Mason Martin went 2 for 3 with a double, a walk and the game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the seventh to lead Indy to a 4-3 victory in the opener. SS Diego Castillo (.222) went 1 for 4 with a solo home run, his first in Triple-A this season. LF Jack Suwinski went 2 for 4 with an RBI. RHP Miguel Yajure (6.56) started and went five innings, allowing one run on three hits with five strikeouts. RHP Eric Hanhold (3-2, 4.00) pitched a scoreless seventh to earn the win.
Louisville won the second game, 9-6. Suwinski (.288) went 1 for 3 with a homer, his fifth. 2B Hoy Park (.215), 1B Brendt Citta (.250), Martin (.201) and LF Jared Oliva (.214) each had two hits. Olivia tripled and stole two bases, his 12th and 13th. LHP Zach Matson (.470) started and gave up two runs on three hits in two innings. RHP Now Toribio (1-1, 4.12) was touched up for five runs, two earned, on four hits and three walks in 2.2 innings of relief.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 47-51) was doubled up by Akron (Guardians), 4-2. RHP Luis Ortiz (5.21) started and went seven innings, surrendering four runs on four hits, including two home runs, with five strikeouts. LHP Tyler Samaniego (2.78) threw two scoreless innings. 3B Jared Triolo (.272) went 2 for 4 with a triple and an RBI. C Blake Sabol was 1 for 3 and drove in a run.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 43-53) outslugged Bowling Green (Rays), 8-7. C Endy Rodriguez (.305) went 5 for 5 with a home run, his 16th, in the top of the ninth. CF Hudson Head (.233) went 3 for 5 with a homer, his 10th. 2B Dariel Lopez (.289) was 2 for 5 with a two-run homer, his 19th. 3B Jackson Glenn (.229) went 2 for 2 with a double and two walks. RHP Adrian Florencio (8.65) started and allowed three runs on six hirts in 1.1 innings. RHP Ricky DeVito (3-3, 5.07) earned the win, giving ip two runs on two hits in four innings. RHP Cameron Junker (4.25) gave up a solo homer in the ninth but earned his 10th save.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 49-48) was edged out by Fort Myers (Twins), 3-2. 1B Juan Jerez (.211) went 1 for 2 with his fourth home run. The Maruaders had only two other hits, doubles by DH Tsung-Che Cheng (.246) and RF Jase Bowen (.280). RHP Carlos Jimenez (1-6, 3.36) started and went four innings, allowing three runs, two earned, on three hits and five walks. LHP Mitchell Miller (3.20) threw two scoreless innings of relief.
