Pirates farm report for Aug. 25, 2021: Liover Peguero delivers 3 hits, homer for Greensboro

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 45-52) lost to Louisville (Reds), 6-2. RHP Miguel Yajure (1-2, 3.51) gave up two runs on four hits with no walks and three strikeouts in his second appearance with Indianapolis coming off a forearm injury. RHP Tanner Anderson (3.86) was tagged for four runs on four hits in 1.1 innings. C Taylor Davis (.273) went 1 for 4 and hit his first home run. RF Cole Tucker (.229) went 1 for 3 with an RBI. LF Bligh Madris (.253) went 1 for 2 with a double and a run scored.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 51-45) was blanked by Richmond (Giants), 6-0. LHP Trey McGough (4-4, 3.55) gave up three runs on four hits and two walks in 5.2 innings. RHP Noe Toribio (5.49) allowed three runs on six hits in two innings. LF Daniel Amaral (.242) went 2 for 3 with a pair of doubles.

GREENSBORO (High A, 61-37) blasted Asheville (Astros), 12-4. SS Liover Peguero (.260) went 3 for 6 with a home run, his 12th. LF Lolo Sanchez (.261) went 4 for 5 with a double, an RBI and his 28th stolen base. 3B Jared Triolo (.294) was 2 for 3 with his 14th home run and three runs scored. CF Matt Gorski (.222) went 2 for 4 with a double and three runs scored. RHP Santiago Florez (2-2, 7.11) allowed two runs on solo home runs with seven strikeouts in five innings.

BRADENTON (Low A, 59-36) split a doubleheader with Fort Myers (Twins).

In the first game, three Bradenton pitchers, including Bethel Park grad Justin Meis, combined on a two-hit shutout. RHP Eddie Yean (5-2, 5.37) went four innings, giving up one hit and striking out four. Meis (2.16) allowed one hit in two innings, fanning two. RHP Alex Roth (2.84) pitched a hitless ninth. C Abranhan Gutierrez (.293) went 3 for 3 with two doubles, a triple and three runs scored. LF Jack Herman (.276) was also 3 for 3, scoring twice. DH Endy Rodriguez (.276) was 2 for 5 with a pair of RBIs. CF Jase Bowen (.219) went 1 for 4 and drove in two runs.

Fort Myers rolled to a 12-1 win in the second game. RHP Carlos Campos (1-1, 2.77) started and took the loss, giving up two runs, one earned, on two hits with five strikeouts in 2.1 innings. RHP Sergio Umana (6.25) was touched up for five runs in two innings of relief. 2B Jackson Glenn (.435) went 2 for 3 with a run scored. Herman was 1 for 3 with an RBI.
