Pirates farm report for Aug. 19, 2021: Miguel Yajure strikes out 6 in Indy rehab start

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 43-49) lost to Toledo (Tigers), 5-2. RHP Miguel Yajure (.343) is continuing a rehab stint in the minors for a forearm injury and got the start after being reinstated from the 60-day IL. He allowed one run on two hits with six strikeouts and a walk in four innings. RHP John O’Reilly (0-1, 5.40) allowed two runs and four hits in one inning and took the loss. RF Cole Tucker (.234) was 2 for 4 with a double. SS Erik Gonzalez (.192) had an RBI triple. 3B Michael Chavis (.273) was 1 for 4.

Next: Friday at Toledo (Tigers), 7:05 p.m.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 49-42) beat Somerset (Yankees), 5-0. LHP Trey McGough (4-3, 3.45) scattered four hits with three strikeouts and a walk over seven innings to earn the victory. DH Cal Mitchell (.278) was 2 for 4, including a two-run home run. CF Matthew Fraizer (.380) was 2 for 4 with a triple and RBI. 2B Ji-hwan Bae (.262) also had two hits and two RBIs. 3B Josh Bissonette (.219) was 2 for 3.

Next: Friday vs. Somerset (Yankees), 7 p.m.

GREENSBORO (High A, 58-35) fell 8-6 to Bowling Green (Rays). C Henry Davis (.417), the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 draft, hit his second home run and was 2 for 3. RF Lolo Sanchez (.253) was 3 for 4 with four RBIs, including a three-run home run. RHP Domingo Gonzalez (7.20) allowed five runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings. RHP Michell Miliano (1-1, 4.50) took the loss after allowing two runs on two hits in 1 2/3 innings of relief.

Next: Friday vs. Bowling Green (Rays), 6:30 p.m.

BRADENTON (Low A, 57-33) won a doubleheader against Clearwater (Phillies). Bradenton won Game 1, 3-2. CF Jase Bowen (.213) hit an RBI single, his 43rd RBI of the season. LF Hudson Head (.207) and RF Daniel Rivero (.270) also had RBIs. RHP Oliver Mateo (5-2, 5.46) allowed one run on one hit in two innings of relief to earn the win.

In Game 2, Bradenton won 2-1, scoring twice in the bottom of the seventh for a walk-off victory. 3B Alexander Mojica (.221) and 1B Ernny Ordonez (.255) each doubled in runs in the final inning. RHP Adrian Florencio (2.27) allowed no runs on two hits with nine strikeouts in five innings. RHP Nick Dombkowski (1-0, 2.57) earned the win after allowing one run on one hit with four strikeouts in two innings.
