Pirates farm report for Aug. 16, 2024: Bubba Chandler fans 11 in 6 innings for Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 55-59) scored two in the bottom of the seventh to beat St. Paul (Twins), 3-2. RHP Bubba Chandler (0.00) made his second Triple-A start and pitched six scoreless innings, allowing five hits and two walks with 11 strikeouts. RHP Fineas Del Bonta-Smith (3-1, 3.80) gave up two runs, one earned, in 1⅔ innings but picked up the win. RHP Hunter Stratton (0.00) pitched 1⅓ scoreless, allowing one hit, to earn the save. C Henry Davis (.313) went 2 for 4, including the go-ahead RBI single in the seventh. LF Billy McKinney (.298) went 2 for 3 with his fifth homer. CF Billy Cook (.289) went 2 for 4. 1B Jake Lamb (.265) went 1 for 3 with a double, a walk and a run scored.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 46-66) lost 8-2 to Bowie (Orioles). RHP Drake Fellows (2-5, 5.92) started and was touched up for four runs on four hits and a walk in an inning. RHP Justin Meis (6.09) pitched two scoreless innings, giving up one hit, and RHP Beau Sulser (0.00) worked four scoreless innings, allowing two hits. SS Mike Jarvis (.102) went 1 for 3 with his first homer and a stolen base. LF Jase Bowen (.239) went 2 for 4 with a run scored. DH Tres Gonzalez (.234) went 1 for 4. The Curve were held to four hits.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 62-49) lost 3-2 to Bowling Green (Rays) when RHP Landon Tomkins (1-1, 8.10) issued a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth. CF Hudson Head (.223) went 2 for 4 with a triple and a run scored. 3B Kalae Harrison (.157) went 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI. The Grasshoppers recorded five hits. 2B Termarr Johnson (.235) went 0 for 4 with two strikeouts. RHP Carlson Reed (0.71) started and gave up a run on three hits and two walks in 4⅓ innings. LHP Julian Bosnic (3.64) worked two scoreless innings, giving up one hit.
