Pirates farm report for Aug. 16, 2022: Bubba Chandler, Anthony Solometo combine on shutout for Bradenton
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 54-56) was edged out by Iowa (Cubs), 2-1. SS Diego Castillo (.309) was 1 for 4 with an RBI for Indy, which managed four hits. LHP Cam Vieaux (5-1, 3.07) took the loss, giving ip one run on two hits in the eighth. RHP Johan Oviedo (5.24) started and gave up one run on three hits in two innings. He struck out three. RHP Cody Bolton (2.72) threw three scoreless innings of relief, allowing one hit and striking out five. RHP Noe Toribio (3.62) pitched two scoreless innings and RHP Eric Hanhold threw one.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 53-55) had its game with Harrisburg (Nationals) suspended with the score tied 2-2 in the seventh inning. The game will resume at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday before a regularly scheduled nine-inning game between the teams. SS Liover Pegiuero (.264) went 2 for 3 with a two-run single before play was suspended.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 46-61) gave up two runs in the bottom of the 10th and lost 6-5 to Rome (Braves). RHP Eddy Yean (3-4, 6.42) took the loss allowing four runs, three earned, on six hits and two walks, in 1.1 innings of relief. RHP Jared Jones (5.01) started and gave up two runs on five hits with five strikeouts in five innings. RHP Domingo Gonzalez (5.24) pitched three scoreless innings. SS Francisco Acuna (.267) went 2 for 4 with a three-run homer, his fourth, and a double. DH Jacob Gonzalez (.300) went 3 for 5. C Eli Wilson (.242) went 2 for 4 with two runs scored.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 57-51) blanked Tampa (Rays), 6-0. RHP Bubba Chandler and LHP Anthony Solometo combined on a six-hit shutout. Chandler (4.32) threw four innings, allowing three hits and a walk and striking out three. Solometo (4-0, 3.15) went five innings, giving up three hits and fanning four. 2B Norkis Marcos (.192) went 2 for 3 with two homers, his third and fourth. C Wyatt Hendrie (.241) went 2 for 4 with two RBIs.3B Jack Brannigan (.333) went 1 for 3 with an RBI and his third stolen base.
