Pirates farm report for Aug. 14, 2024: Jared Jones gives up 4 earned runs, 7 hits in rehab start

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 53-59) scored twice in the bottom of the ninth to beat St. Paul (Twins), 6-5. DH Henry Davis (.301) went 2 for 5 with the game-tying RBI single in the ninth. SS Liover Peguero (.250) went 2 for 5 with the walk-off RBI single. RF Nick Yorke (.323) went 3 for 5 with an RBI and a run scored. 2B Alika Williams (.303) and 3B Jose Rojas (.246) each had two hits. RHP Jared Jones (9.00), making his second rehab start, allowed five runs, four earned, on seven hits and a walk in 3⅓ innings. He struck out three. RHP Isaac Mattson (3.50) pitched 2⅔ scoreless innings, giving up two hits. RHP Hunter Stratton (0.00) pitched a perfect seventh and LHP Geronimo Franzua (4-5, 5.07) pitched the final two innings, giving up no runs or hits, to earn the win.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 45-65) lost 6-1 to Bowie (Orioles). DH Carter Bins was 1 for 4 with a triple. LHP Anthony Solometo (0-5, 6.57) started and went 3⅔ innings, giving up three runs on one hit and four walks with three strikeouts. RHP Emmanuel Chapman (3.19) pitched three scoreless innings, allowing no hits, walking two and striking out four.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 62-47) lost 7-2 to Bowling Green (Rays). SS Mitch Jebb (.249) went 2 for 4 with a walk. C Shawn Ross (.186) went 1 for 4 with an RBI. 2B Termarr Johnson (.237) went 1 for 4 with a run scored. RHP Garrett McMillan (0.00) started and pitched three perfect innings with six strikeouts. RHP Mike Walsh (0-1, 1.69) gave up four runs, none earned, on two hits and two walks in an inning to take the loss.

RHP Danny Carrion (3.26) pitched two scoreless innings and LHP Magdiel Cotto (2.70) threw a scoreless ninth.
