Pirates farm report for Aug. 14, 2021: Altoona's Mason Martin hits 20-homer mark
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 43-45) scored four in the seventh and three in the eighth to rally past St. Paul (Twins), 7-4. LF Chris Sharpe (.203) went 1 for 3 with a bases-clearing double in the eighth. 1B Phillip Evans (.400) went 1 for 4 with a two-run double in the seventh. DH Christian Bethancourt (.274) was 1 for 3 with a two-run triple in the seventh and a run scored. SS Erik Gonzalez (.176) went 1 for 4 with two runs scored. RHP Beau Sulser (4.50) started and went 6.1 innings, allowing four runs in seven hits, including two home runs. RHP Tanner Anderson (2-1, 1.37) pitched 1.2 scoreless innings of relief to earn the win.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 46-41) was pummeled by Erie (Tigers), 14-1. 1B Mason Martin (.259) accounted for most of the Curve’s offense, going 2 for 4 with his 20th home run. 3B Diego Castillo (.273) went 1 for 4. RHP Osvaldo Brito (2-5, 5.20) gave up seven runs, four earned, on five hits, including two homers. 2B Ji-hwan Bae (.256) went 0 for 4 with two strikeouts and made three errors.

GREENSBORO (High A, 56-32) and Winston-Salem (White Sox) were rained out. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Sunday.

BRADENTON (Low A, 53-33) scored in the bottom of the 10th to beat Fort Myers (Twins), 2-1. CF Jase Bowen (.217) went 1 for 4 with the game-winning RBI single. 3B Alexander Mojica (.224) went 1 for 3 with a double and a run scored. RF Daniel Rivero (.271) was 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI. RHP Jared Jones (3.12) started and pitched three scoreless innings, giving up two hits and two walks and striking out six. RHP Logan Hofmann (2.75) was next, throwing four scoreless frames with two hits, one walk and three strikeouts. RHP Oliver Mateo (3-2, 5.72) pitched a scoreless 10th to earn the win.
