Pirates farm report for Aug. 11, 2024: Kervin Pichardo knocks in 5 runs in Altoona loss

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 51-59) was shut out 3-0 by Nashville (Brewers). C Henry Davis (.301), CF Nick Yorke (.322) and 3B Malcom Nunez (.266) all had singles. SS Alika Williams was 0 for 4 with four strikeouts. DH Joshua Palacios (.274) struck out three times and was 0 for 4. RHP Aaron Shortridge (1-2, 4.87) allowed two runs on five hits with two walks and four strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings and took the loss.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 45-63) lost 9-8 to Portland (Red Sox). SS Kervin Pichardo (.269) hit a two-run homer, had a two-run single and smacked an RBI double for five RBIs. 3B Jackson Glenn (.195) and CF Matt Fraizer (.226) had RBI singles. LF Jase Bowen (.239) singled and hit a solo homer. LHP Dominic Perachi (5.71) started and allowed three runs on four this with three walks and three strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings. RHP Jack Carey (4-2, 3.57) took the loss after giving up a run on two hits with a walk and strikeout in one inning of relief.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 62-45) dropped a 5-1 decision to Rome (Braves). RF Hudson Head (.217) doubled in the lone run for Greensboro. 2B Mitch Jebb (.249), C Omar Alfonzo (.294), 3B Shawn Ross (.186) and DH Geovanny Planchart (.214) had singles. RHP Wilber Dotel (8-5, 5.50) took the loss after giving up two runs on one hit with three walks and two strikeouts in three inning.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 46-62) fell 6-3 to St. Lucie (Mets). 3B Jhonny Severino (.297) smacked a two-run homer. SS Keiner Delgado (.227), CF Shalin Polanco (.181), DH Enmanuel Terrero (.161) and RF Solomon Maguire (.175) all had singles. RHP Carlos Castillo (0-1, 11.25) took the loss after allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits with one walk and four strikeouts in two innings.
