Pirates farm report for April 6, 2024: Lonnie White Jr., Hudson Head homer in dramatic Greensboro win

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 5-3) swept a doubleheader from Memphis (Cardinals ).

In the first game, a 5-4 Indy win, RHP Quinn Priester (2.79) started and went four innings, allowing two runs on four hits and four walks in four innings. He fanned three. RHP Wily Peralta (1-0, 15.75) gave up two runs in two innings of relief to pick up the win. LHP Geronimo Franzua (0.00) worked a clean seventh for his second save. 2B Liover Peguero (.406) went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs. SS Nick Gonzales went 0 for 1 with two walks and two runs scored.

In the second game, a 7-5 Indy victory, CF Matt Gorski (.278) went 2 for 3 with his first homer, a double and three RBIs. 1B Billy McKinney (.278) was 1 for 2 with his first homer and a walk. Gonzales (.364) was 2 for 4 with an RBI. RF Joshua Palacios (.250) went 2 for 4 with a run scored and an RBI. RHP JC Flowers (16.88) started and allowed four runs, three earned, on three hits and two walks in two innings. RHP Connor Sadzeck (1-0, 2.08) gave up one run on three hits in three innings to earn the win. RHP Brent Honeywell (8.31) worked two scoreless frames for his first save.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 1-1) was held to four hits, struck out 13 times and lost 5-2 to Akron (Guardians). LF Connor Scott (.500) went 1 for 2 with a walk and a run scored. RHO Sean Sullivan (0-1, 4.91) started and gave up two runs on six hits and a walk in 3 2/3 innings. RHP Brad Case (0.00) worked a scoreless eighth.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 1-1) scored three in the eighth and three in the ninth to rally for a 6-5 win over Greenville (Red Sox). CF Lonnie White Jr. (.125) went 1 for 4 with a three-run homer in the eighth and LF Hudson Head (.333) went 1 for 3 with the game-winning three-run shot in the ninth. 2B Termarr Johnson (.111) went 0 for 4 with two strikeouts and made an error. RHP Patrick Reilly (5.40) started and allowed three runs, two earned, on four hits and a walk in 3 1/3 innings. He struck out eight. RHP Emmanuel Chapman (1-0, 0.00) got the final four outs to earn the win.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 0-2) was clobbered 13-2 by Clearwater (Phillies). LHP Michael Kennedy (7.36) started and gave up three runs on four hits and two walks in 3 2/3 innings. In the eighth, LHP Hunter Furtado (162.00) got one out and gave up six runs on two hits and three walks. Bradenton pitchers gave up 11 hits, issued eight walks and hit four batters. LF Jack Herman (.111) went 1 for 4 with a double. 3B Garrett Forrester (.167) went 1 for 4 with an RBI.
