Pirates farm report for April 28, 2024: Termarr Johnson, Jack Brannigan homer as Grasshoppers win series finale
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 12-12) and Omaha (Royals) had their doubleheader rained out. A makeup date was not announced.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 5-15) was swept in a six-game series by Akron (Guardians) after a 6-5 loss. It was the first time Altoona has lost all six games in a week-long series. DH Seth Beer (.296) had three RBIs, including a game-tying double in the seventh inning. RF Matt Fraizer (.203) hit a sacrifice fly and drew three walks. 2B Jackson Glenn (.169) had three hits and two runs scored. LHP Anthony Solometo (6.23) started and allowed four runs on three hits with a walk and three strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings. LHP Nick Dombkowski (1-1, 2.25) took the loss after allowing one unearned run on two hits with three strikeouts in three innings of relief.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 12-8) beat Greenville (Red Sox), 4-1. SS Termarr Johnson (.175) hit a solo homer, his first of the season. 3B Jack Brannigan (.246) homered, walked and scored two runs. DH Hudson Head (.184) doubled in a run. 2B Maikol Escotto (.267) was 1 for 4 with an RBI. RHP Drake Fellows (1-0, 5.23) earned the win in relief after allowing one run on two hits with two strikeouts in 2 2/3 innings.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 4-17) dropped a 5-3 decision to Clearwater (Phillies). LF Eddy Rodriguez (.300) and C Garret Forrester (.233) each had two hits. Forrester had an RBI. CF Shalin Polanco (.129) had an RBI. RHP Kristian Curtis (0-2, 6.28) started and allowed two runs on one hit with six walks and two strikeouts in 4 1/3 innings and took the loss.
