Pirates farm report for April 13, 2022: Indy's Chase De Jong, 2 relievers combine on no-hitter

INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 6-2) threw the 15th no-hitter in team history, with RHP Chase De Jong (1-0, 0.82) going seven innings and RHP Austin Brice (0.00) and RHP Yerry De Los Santos (0.00) pitching one inning each in a 5-0 win over St. Paul (Twins). De Jong struck out nine and walked two. Brice and De Los Santos did not allow a baserunner. It was the fifth straight win for Indy. 2B Rodolfo Castro (.409) with 1 for 2 with a home run and two walks. RF Cal Mitchell (.348) went 2 for 4 with a double and drove in a pair. 1B Mason Martin (.346) went 1 for 4 with a double. SS Oneil Cruz was 0 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 2-3) was thumped by Richmond (Giants), 10-6. RHP Travis MacGregor (12.00) was tuched up for five runs and two homers in three innings. RHP Bear Bellomy (0-1, 16.62) worked one innings and surrendered five runs and three homers. C Blake Sabol (.500) and DH Lolo Sanchez (.385) each went 3 for 5 with an RBI. 2B Nick Gonzales (.294) went 2 for 4 with a walk and CF Matthew Fraizer (.250) went 2 for 5.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 2-3) rolled Winston-Salem (White Sox), 12-5. LF Hudson Head (.250) went 1 for 3 with a home run and two RBIs. DH Henry Davis (.316) went 2 for 5 with a double and a walk. 2B Endy Rodriguez (.273) was 2 for 6 with a double and a pair of RBIs. CF Sammy Siani (.308) went 1 for 1 and walked four times. RHP Grant Ford (1-0, 7.71) worked two innings of scoreless relief to earn the win. RHP Sean Sullivan (3.00) started and went three innings, allowing one run on three hits with three strikeouts and a walk.

LHP Luis Peralta (0.00) started and didn’t allow a hit in four innings, striking out seven and walking two. RHP Xavier Concepcion (1-0, 0.00) worked two innings of relief, giving up one hit, to earn the win. RHP Wilkin Ramos (0.00) gave up one hit in three innings to pick up the save. SS Tsung-Che Cheng (.261) went 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored. CF Sergio Campana (.294) was 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI.
