Pirates farm report for April 10, 2022: Mason Martin homers in Indy's victory
INDIANAPOLIS (Triple-A, 4-2) used a four-run fifth inning to earn a 7-2 win over Omaha (Royals). DH Mason Martin (.368) hit a solo home run and was 3 for 5 with three RBIs. CF Canaan Smith-Njigba (.278) was 2 for 5 with a run scored. SS Rodolfo Castro (.353) had an RBI. LF Oneil Cruz (.235) was 0 for 3 with two walks and a run scored and played in left field. RHP Jerad Eickhoff (1-0, 2.45) allowed one run on three hits with two strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings of relief to earn the victory.

ALTOONA (Double-A, 1-2) dropped a 5-3 decision to Harrisburg (Washington). SS Andres Alvarez (.250) hit a solo home run. CF Connor Scott (.500) was 3 for 4 with an RBI, RF Lolo Sanchez (.250) was 2 for 4, and 1B Will Matthiessen (.286) was 2 for 3. The top three batters in the order — DH Matt Fraizer (.143), 2B Nick Gonzales (.182) and 3B Jared Triolo (.083) — combined to go 0 for 12. LHP Omar Cruz (0-1, 7.71) allowed 2 runs on three hits with one walk and four strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings of relief and took the loss.

GREENSBORO (High-A, 1-2) edged Rome (Braves), 3-2. RF Yoyner Fajardo (.333), 1B Abrahan Gutierrez (.182) and 2B Jackson Glenn (.333) all knocked in runs for Greensboro. Glen and RF Sammy Siani (.375) each had two hits. LHP Nick Garcia (1-0, 0.00) threw three no-hit innings of relief with one walk and five strikeouts to earn the win.

BRADENTON (Low-A, 2-1) crushed Dunedin (Toronto), 13-4. 3B Alexander Mojica (.250) hit a grand slam and doubled. C Jakob Goldfarb (.500) was 2 for 4 with a two-run home run. Six Bradenton pitchers combined to allow four runs on nine hits with 13 strikeouts. RHP Dante Mendoza (1-0, 0.00) threw 2 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing no hits and one walk with three strikeouts.
