PiratesFest is making its return next year.
The Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday announced the fan-oriented offseason event — which features Pirates players, alumni, coaches, broadcasters and mascots — will return for the first time since 2019 on Jan. 6, 2024, at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. PiratesFest will be open to the general public from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., with season ticket holders having access in a one-hour window prior to the start.
“We are very thankful for our fans and their unwavering support this season,” Pirates president Travis Williams said in a statement. “Coming off a three-year hiatus, we heard from our fans just how much they missed PiratesFest. We listened and are excited to announce its return. It is a celebration of all things Pirates baseball and a great way for us to directly engage with our fans during the offseason.”
The event includes a meet-and-greet and Q&A sessions with Pirates players. Fans can have their photos taken with their favorite players and collect autographs, as well as interactive games and activities and exclusive merchandise. The autograph sessions with players and alumni will be ticketed and sold prior to the event, with all proceeds benefiting Pirates Charities. There also will be special autograph sessions for all kids 14-and-under on Saturday that will not require a donation.
