Penn-Trafford alum Dave Bucar named offensive line coach at Maine
Trafford native Dave Bucar has joined the football coaching staff at Maine.
He will coach the offensive line under head coach Jordan Stevens.
Bucar was an offensive analyst and assistant offensive line and tight ends coach at Boston College for the last four years.
“Dave brings a wealth of experience from each level of college football,” Stevens said in a news release. “Dave has a passion for developing players on and off the field.”
A Penn-Trafford graduate, Bucar also worked on staffs at Valparaiso, Maryland, LSU, Pitt, and Tiffin.
He was assistant head coach for one season at Valparaiso. Bucar coached tight ends at Maryland in 2018.
The previous year, he was an offensive analyst for a season at LSU after two years as Pitt’s offensive line coach.
He began his coaching career at Pitt before circling back.
A former lineman at Washington & Jefferson, Bucar was a two-time All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference player.
