In nine games this season, goaltender Tristan Jarry has a 4-2-3 record.

Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry is scheduled to start his fifth consecutive game on Thursday against the Florida Panthers at PPG Paints Arena.

This season, Jarry has played in nine games and has a 4-2-3 record along with a 2.28 goals against average and a .926 save percentage.

Jarry’s career numbers against the Panthers are not strong. In three games against Florida, Jarry has a 1-1-0 record along with a 3.66 goals against average and .899 save percentage.

Notes:

• Assistant coach Todd Reirden indicated defensemen Marcus Pettersson and Chad Ruhwedel remain “game-time” decisions. Both players were recently removed from 10-day isolation periods after testing positive for covid-19. Each player has missed the past three games.

On Wednesday afternoon, Pettersson and Ruhwedel returned to the NHL’s active roster after previously being on the NHL’s list for covid-19 protocol.

Reserve defensemen Taylor Fedun and Juuso Riikola has been removed from the active roster and have presumably been assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL).

• Forward Sidney Crosby, defenseman Brian Dumoulin and head coach Mike Sullivan remain in isolation having all tested positive for covid-19.

• The Penguins had an optional morning skate. Along with Jarry, Pettersson and Ruhwedel, those who participated included forwards Brian Boyle, Sam Lafferty, Drew O’Connor and Dominik Simon; defensemen Mark Friedman, P.O Joseph, Mike Matheson, Fedun and Riikola; and goaltender Casey DeSmith.

• The Panthers are expected to start goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky. In seven games this season, he has a 7-0-0 record, a 1.72 goals against average and .948 save percentage.

The Panthers had a full morning skate. Their projected lines and pairings are:

23 Carter Verhaeghe - 16 Aleksander Barkov - 10 Anthony Duclair

11 Jonathan Huberdeau - 9 Sam Bennett -74 Owen Tippett

77 Frank Vatrano - 15 Anton Lundell - 13 Sam Reinhart
