• Penguins forwards Brock McGinn and Bryan Rust are each expected to appear in their 400th career game.

• The Panthers are expected to start goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky. In 39 games this season, Bobrovsky has a 28-6-3 record, a 2.54 goals against average, a .917 save percentage and two shutouts.

In two games against the Penguins this season, Bobrovsky has a 1-0-1 record, a 2.85 goals against average and a .923 save percentage.

• Following their 6-1 road win against the Buffalo Sabres on Monday, the Panthers traveled to Pittsburgh overnight and had an optional morning skate.
