Penguins to start goaltender Tristan Jarry against Canucks

Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry is expected to start Wednesday’s home game against the Vancouver Canucks at PPG Paints Arena.

This will be Jarry’s sixth consecutive start. In his past five games, Jarry has a 3-2-0 record along with a 1.81 goals against average, a .932 saves percentage and two shutouts.

Overall this season, Jarry has played in 15 of the team’s 18 games and has an 8-4-3 record along with a 2.09 goals against average, a .930 save percentage and two shutouts.

• The Canucks are expected to start goaltender Thatcher Demko. In 15 games this season, Demko has a 3.07 goals against average and a .905 save percentage.

• Former Penguins forward Brandon Sutter has yet to play a game this season after being placed on the NHL’s list for covid-19 protocol Oct. 11. Recently, general manager Jim Benning described Sutter as a “long hauler” for the virus.
