Penguins to put single-game tickets for April on sale
The Penguins will put single-game tickets on sale for six April home contests at 10 a.m. April 8.
These will be the team’s first home games since Gov. Tom Wolf eased capacity restrictions for indoor venues from 15% to 25% in light of the pandemic.
According to a release from the team, the Penguins will be allowed to host “just under 5,000” fans at PPG Paints Arena per game.
Based on the listed capacity of 18,387 for hockey on PPG Paints Arena’s website, the Penguins would be permitted to host 4,596 fans.
Since the state opened up indoor venues to 15% on March 1, the Penguins have been permitted to have 2,800 fans.
Tickets will be sold in groups of two, three and four to allow for social distancing. Ticket buyers will be given suggested arrival times and gates to enter based on the location of their seats.
The Penguins are in the midst of a six-game road trip. Their next home game is April 15.
