The Pittsburgh Penguins now have both of their second-round picks from last month’s draft under contract.

On Thursday, the Penguins signed defenseman Harrison Brunicke to a three-year entry-level deal, the team announced. The two-way contract carries an $875,000 cap hit, according to PuckPedia.

A 6-foot-3, 196-pound native of South Africa, Brunicke had 10 goals and 21 points in 49 games with the Kamloops Blazers of the Western Hockey League last season.

Brunicke was the Penguins’ first draft pick, No. 44 overall, in June’s draft. On July 10, they signed their other second-round pick, forward Tanner Howe (No. 46).
