Penguins recall forward Jonathan Gruden

In 41 AHL games this season, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins forward Jonathan Gruden has scored 23 points (13 goals, 10 assists).

The Pittsburgh Penguins recalled Jonathan Gruden from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League on Friday.

This marked the third transaction in less than 48 hours with Gruden.

On Thursday afternoon, he was recalled to the NHL roster only to be returned to the AHL roster approximately 10 hours later.

This season, Gruden has appeared in five NHL contests and has no points while averaging 7:20 of ice time per game.

At the AHL level, Gruden has played in 41 games and has scored 23 points (13 goals, 10 assists).

Gruden, 23, is signed to a one-year, two-way contract with a salary cap hit of $775,000.
