In three AHL games this season, Penguins forward Josh Currie has two goals.

The Penguins have recalled forward Josh Currie from their taxi squad and added him to their active NHL roster.

Currie, 28, has yet to play any NHL games this season. As captain of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Currie has appeared in two American Hockey League games (AHL) and scored two goals.

An undrafted free agent signing this past offseason, Currie is signed to a one-year two-way contract with a salary cap hit of $700,000.

The team also recalled forward Anthony Angello from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to the taxi squad.

Angello, 24, had played in two AHL games this season and has two points (one goal, one assist). He is in the first year of a two-year contract with a salary cap hit of $725,000.

Additionally, the Penguins placed Jason Zucker on injured reserve due to an undisclosed ailment retroactive to Tuesday.
