Penguins place forward Radim Zohorna on waivers
The Pittsburgh Penguins placed forward Radim Zohorna on waivers Tuesday afternoon.
Should he go unclaimed by 2 p.m. Wednesday, he can be assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Zohorna, 27, was previously waived Oct. 8. Going unclaimed, he was assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton by Oct. 9 and since then, he has been shuffled between the NHL and AHL rosters a handful of times.
In 31 NHL games this season, Zohorna has seven points (four goals, three assists) while logging 10:04 of ice time per game. With Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, he has played in two games with no points.
Primarily deployed among the team’s bottom-six forwards, Zohorna (6-foot-6, 220 pounds) is signed to a one-year, two-way contract that carries a salary cap hit of $775,000.
