Providence forward Chase Yoder was the Penguins’ sixth-round draft pick in 2020.

Penguins forward prospect Chase Yoder is among 44 players USA Hockey has invited to next month’s World Junior Summer Showcase at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich.

The Penguins selected Yoder, 19, in the sixth-round pick (No. 170 overall) of the 2020 season. As a freshman at Providence in 2020-21, the Fairview, Texas native appeared in 25 games and scored six points (three goals, three assists).

Also invited by USA Hockey were Erie Otters goaltender Aidan Campbell (Cranberry) and U.S. National Under-17 Team forward Logan Cooley (West Mifflin).

Penguins goaltending prospects Joel Blomvqvist (Finland) and Calle Clang (Sweden) were invited to the showcase by their respective countries earlier this month.

The showcase is scheduled to be held between July 24 and 31.
