In 16 games this season, Penguins forward Colton Sceviour has two goals.

Penguins forward Colton Sceviour will be placed on the NHL’s list of absences related to covid-19 protocol on Saturday according to coach Mike Sullivan.

He will not play in Saturday’s home game against the Philadelphia Flyers at PPG Paints Arena, scheduled to begin shortly after 1 p.m.

The list is updated daily, usually in the evening.

Being placed on the list does not necessarily indicate a player has tested positive for covid-19. Something such as secondary contact can qualify a player for the list.

Per NHL rules, teams are not permitted to offer specifics on why a player has been placed on the list.

Sceviour is the fourth Penguins player to land on the list this season, having been preceded by forwards Sidney Crosby, Kasperi Kapanen and defenseman John Marino.

Typically used on the fourth line, Sceviour has appeared in 16 games this season and has two goals.

Notes:

• Prior to the game, Penguins defenseman Brian Dumoulin and forward Evan Rodrigues were activated from injured reserve. Additionally, forward Anthony Angello was recalled from the taxi squad to the NHL roster while defenseman Josh Maniscalco was recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League to the taxi squad.

Dumoulin has been sidelined the previous 15 games due to an undisclosed injury. In seven games this season, he has one assist.

An undisclosed injury has sidelined Rodrigues for the past 16 games. In six games this season, he has one goal.

Angello has played in four NHL games this season and has failed to record a point.

Maniscalco has appeared in two AHL games this season and has failed to record a point.

• The Penguins are expected to start goaltender Tristan Jarry on Saturday. In 16 games this season, Jarry has an 8-7-1 record along with a 3.13 goals against average and an .899 save percentage.

• Goaltender Brian Elliott is expected to start for the Flyers. In nine games this season, Elliott has a 7-6-1 record along with a 2.15 goals against average, a .926 save percentage and two shutouts.
