In 30 games this season, Penguins forward Kasperi Kapanen has 21 points (seven goals, 14 assists).

The Penguins have activated forward Kasperi Kapanen from injured reserve.

Sidelined since March 24 because of a suspected left foot injury, Kapanen could return to the team’s lineup for Thursday’s home game against the New Jersey Devils at PPG Paints Arena.

Penguins coach Mike Sullivan labeled Kapanen as a “game-time decision” on Thursday morning.

In 30 games this season, Kapanen has 21 points (seven goals, 14 assists).

In a correlating transaction, the Penguins assigned rookie forward Anthony Angello from the taxi squad to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Partly due to injury, Angello has not played since April 3. In 19 NHL games this season, Angello has four points (two goals, two assists).
