Palmer Jackson set to play in RSM Classic on PGA Tour
Amateur Palmer Jackson is beginning to get used to this PGA Tour thing.
The Murrysville native and Franklin Regional graduate will tee it up Thursday at the RSM Classic in St. Simons Island, Ga.
Jackson, a senior at Notre Dame, received a sponsor exemption into the event, his second in a month.

He played in the Butterfield Bermuda Championship last month.
Jackson opened with a 73 and could not rally to play the weekend. He missed the cut in the birdie-fest, despite a 2-under-par 69 in the second round.
Fighting Irish golf coach John Handrigan caddied for Jackson in Bermuda.
Jackson, who is No. 20 in the PGA Tour University Velocity Global Rankings and 43rd in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, was a PING D1 All-Region selection in 2021 and helped the Irish reach the NCAA regional.
This fall, he finished in the top 20 in five college events.
The RSM Classic is hosted by 21-time Tour winner and Presidents Cup captain Davis Love III.
