Osikowicz, Ryan lead Seton Hill to victory in Division II World Series
The Seton Hill softball team rebounded from an opening loss in the NCAA Division II World Series and stayed alive with an 8-1 victory over Adelphi (N.Y.) in the loser’s bracket game Friday night in Denver.
The Griffins (42-11) will take on Cal State Dominguez Hills (42-22) at 4:30 p.m. (EST) Saturday in the double-elimination tournament.
All-Americans and Hempfield grads Jenna Osikowicz and Morgan Ryan each drove in two runs, and Ryan pitched a complete game with five strikeouts and no walks.
Osikowicz jump-started the offense with a hard-hit, two-run double in the third.
Ryan followed with a double to score Osikowicz.

Morgan Toal added an RBI, and Nichole McClendon added two hits and scored three times for the Griffins, who had three-run innings in the third and fifth innings.
They had 10 hits after Auburn-Montgomery held them to three on Thursday.
Adelphi finished the season at 47-15.
